On 29 May 1990 the Council of the European Economic Community issued Directive 90/270/EWG for Occupational Safety and Health Protection for computer monitors. This directive was subsequently transformed into compliant national law by EEC member states in January 1997. The EU Directive and compliant national laws of the EU member states are essentiall identical. The LOP Multitable complies with current EU directives and national laws.
