Posture
Proper
use of your office chair
Select an office chair whose seat and backrest matches the contour of
your back. We recommend you use the full sitting surface. Ideally, the
seat should support 2/3 of your thighs. The Backrest should provide ample
support for the lower and middle sections of the back. The curvature of
the lumbar support should be adjustable to body size in order to provide
correct support of the vertebrae.
Sit
upright in your chairs:
sit all the way back in the chair seat against the backrest Sitting with
the hips slightly tilted to the front ensures an upright position and
helps avoid the rounding attributed to back stress syndrome. Proper seat
positioning promotes even distribution of body load in the chair. The
stomach should be free to move, contributing to a better blood circulation
which also help avoid muscle fatigue.
